And I was waiting on a call from Tony....

We just got some pictures developed. This is picture of Rohan and Dylan after we picked strawberries. (In May) Rohan has since moved to Washington DC to picket the White House for Toddler's rights. GO ROHAN!!

The answer to the poll question, Why doesn't Dylan scoop with his hands during swimming lessons?, is the water is too cold. The evidence for this answer is he swims/splashes/kicks and makes a huge watery mess when he's in the bathtub but when he's in that pool(which makes his lips turn blue) he barely moves his eyes.

Today was a rainy mess and Dylan had a major meltdown around 5pm cuz he wanted to play baseball! Of course we were too busy making dinner, so Dylan drove us crazy! We finally helped him find his baseball glove which we thought would help but made the desire to play baseball incredibly worse. So we played baseball in our soggy wood chip lawn thing(it goes mushrooms very well, sorry, they're not the fun ones)

Dylan can now catch the ball (although not consistently), he can put the ball on the tee and hit the ball with a bat. He rotates through most of these activities until Mommy and Daddy are ready to do something else (which is never long enough for Dylan)

You know. Concerts on the square!

Ah, another great morning. Greeted with a hi and pronounced yes with an s, he hasn't done it since but where there's smoke there's fire. Imagine all the wonderful words he will produce now. Mommy and Daddy's (and visitors) vocabulary will have to become G-rated from now on.

Jelly toast and juice for breakfast. Dylan spent a few minutes in a dark basement this morning because he refused to come up the stairs. We all brushed our teeth and took mommy to work.

Shopped for DJ this morning. She wasn't feeling too well so we're a little concerned and hoping she doesn't spend any time in the hospital before we see her again.

Made it back to the house for a snack of (you guessed it) CHEESE, crackers, and milk. Watched Elmo and learned how do people get dressed, you know how do people get dressed, ha ha ha. We learned a fun song on the Getting Dressed Channel (It's part of Elmo's World) "Put on your pants and do a dance, put on your shirt it doesn't even hurt, put socks on your feet and pull them up neat." Wow, I can't wait til he learns that song!

Asleep by 11 so we can get to the square by 3pm.

Awake at 1. A shorter nap today will hopefully make for a quick bedtime ritual tonight.

Have a snack of apple, milk(from before), water, chex mix, pizza. Daddy finishes the picnic prep for the concert tonight and we're off to the store.

After a quick stop to get necessities. We're on the square watching the big trucks dig up dirt and playing with branches, leaves and acorns. After these things had worn out there usefulness we ran from water fountain to water fountain around the capital until mommy showed up with wine!

We had some miscommunication from our supposed quests for the evening, luckily we were joined by a friend of mine and Dylan's from the Stay-at-home dad's group: Brian, Rohan, and Shawnee(I'm sure this is spelled wrong).

I'm just going to make a list of all the things Dylan ate: blueberries, cheese curds, apple, lettuce salad(first time), cashews, water, cherries, and more blueberries.

Dylan and Rohan played very well together and worked on there sharing, with the help of everyone around. They both came to the conclusion that the bigger truck was the best and that the forklift was not wanted. It spent most of it's time being cast aside while they pulled and tugged on the larger truck. Finally, Dylan was ready for a popo(or pacifier) and Rohan was ready to run. Both families left soon after these events.

Dylan was asleep in 20 minutes with no mention of mommy milk or boobies. There is no way weening him of the bedtime feeding can be this easy.
