Get while the gettin's good.

We started our camping trip to Devils Lake friday afternoon and I'm glad we did. We had a wonderful time playing tee ball with Dylan and making dinner. The night was peaceful and cool; the best for sleeping.

We woke up in the morning made breakfast and headed out on a hike. We made it to the chalet on the north beach before it started raining. After some investigation, we concluded that the rain wasn't going to allow us to enjoy our weekend. We walked back, packed up the campsite and headed back to Madison.

It hasn't stopped raining!!!!
After a few calls to inform our expected guests on saturday night we headed to Wonder's to drown our sorrows with blood mary's, cheeseburgers and french fries.
Spent the rest of the weekend realizing how miserable we would have been if we had stayed at Devils Lake. I'm convinced that one of us would have developed a head wound.

Mallards tickets, zoo, & tee ball

This morning was great! Dylan was a blast. We had cheese omelette's and juice for breakfast, stayed home and watched Elmo cause mommy rode with Nanna again.
Daddy cleaned the house while Elmo taught dylan how to play games. You know, how do you play a game.
We went out looking for fun. Found the east bluff toddler park and played on the swing, slide, and digger. Went over to the Mallards ticket office and bought our tickets for next friday evening. We'll be going with 9 other parents and kids, it will be a blast! We took a walking tour of the Duck Pond and found where our seats will be. (Dylan is pictured, watching the grass grow)
(view from our seats.)We made it back to the house for lunch of hot dog, apple, and cheese. Then down for a nap at 11.
Up at 1 so we're on our way, to complete our wedding gift for Abbey and Scott....Dylan loves to pick out wedding cards. (He seems to pick the ones with flowers or little animals on them)

We head off to the zoo. Where we see the Lions, Bears, Seals, Penguins, the Otter, Owl, and the Monkey house! I have a picture of him with his head in the Polar bear cut-out photo spot. It's so damn cute!
We played the playground. Popular today was the digger and swing.
Off to get mommy and head home for some family time.

Got home played Teeball while mommy and daddy tried to relax.
The end.

A Bubble and a Baseball Tee
Up from our nap and off to work. We shopped and delivered groceries for a new customer today, Lori. It took longer than expected and made us late to pick-up mommy.

Had dinner of 3 pieces of leftover pizza, milk.
Mommy went to do some work for East Bluff while Dylan and Daddy went back to running errands.
Picked up our CSA, went (you guessed it) grocery shopping for us, and made it home with enough time to play baseball and play on the swings. Mommy met us at the playground and Dylan told her about how he fell off of the swing and hit his head. (he stopped hanging on, but he left that part out of the story)
Here he is getting his hair washed while taking a bubble. (It's not bubbly because we're out of bubble bath) He spent most of his time splashing and floating on his tummy.

Got ready for bed. Had a snack of strawberry flavored milk(his favorite, but he can't have it that often because he drinks it too fast and screams when it's gone.) He was sleeping in 45 minutes.
This morning we ate some cantaloupe for breakfast and took mommy to work.
Got cleaning supplies(and bubble bath) from Target and bought a baseball tee for Dylan. (I had to. How else is he going to hit the ball)
Elmo taught us about Penguins, you know Penguins.
We had lunch of cheese, a granola bar, and finished our juice from breakfast.
Dylan was napping at 1145. Daddy cleaned the house and read a book.
