Isabella - 3 months

When do you suppose Papa will get around to planting grass? I don't know but we can stand here and watch the weeds grow or we can throw these stuffed animals all over the house.

Zuzu's, the Zoo, and a dreadful showing.

That is one larger bear, and one teeny tiny boy.

We met up with Kumar and Sophia then headed to the zoo to run and see the animals.

Wade, Lorie, DeDe, and Nanna came over to eat dinner and watch the game. The game was hard to watch after such an outstanding season and the dinner was pretty good. The beer and whiskey also helped to soften the loss.

CAN'T I GET SOME TIME TO MYSELF?!!

A Walk at the Arboretum

My Monday morning delivery went well. Dylan ate his usual nummy at Sam's Club(today it was a M&M cookie) and juice and we had a great time at Woodman's with our friends Shawn and Carlos. Dylan was explaining to them all about our camping trip.

We headed to ZuZu's coffee shop to meet Kumar and Sophia for our play date. After a mocha and a fried egg sandwich we headed to the Arboretum for a walk. It was beautiful.

We spent most of the time chasing the football through the forest. It's the only way I can keep Dylan moving and not be forced to carry him. At some point I end up carrying him anyway and this time was no different.

One of the great learning experiences from this weekend was Dylan learned how to throw a Frisbee. It doesn't go very far but it comes out level.
After our hike we headed back to Kumar's to play a bit longer and then went home for a nap. Dylan slept and I put all the camping gear away for the season.
After dinner, mommy went to the fabric store while Dylan and I cleaned/rearranged the house.

Mallards Game

What can I say? Our condo is small but on this evening it managed to house the following: Kumar, Leah, Jackson, Sophia, Jeremy, Allison, Lucy, Eric and Bela. Of course, this doesn't include Me, Tricia, Dylan or Turtle. Whisper was smart enough to stay part of the wall. Turtle got caught by the Sophia the house cat tamer a number of times.

So we had dinner, quickly, and headed off to the game. It started at 7pm which in retrospect is a bad idea when every child's bed time is between 8 and 9. Dylan won the prize for longest at the game, so we had to buy him ice cream! (He's also the only child that has an addiction to Baseball)

Concert, Dad's Group

We had a blast at concerts on the square last night. we met up with Jeremy, Allison, Lucy, CK, Betsy, Erica and Nick. Dylan had a great time drumming with Erica, dancing to William Tell overture, and blowing bubbles with Allison and Lucy. Needless to say he was exhausted when we got home.

So I missed a day of reporting cause I was reading the newest Harry Potter book and I"m tired today becuase I was up until 130 finishing it and sleeping at 2. Dylan woke at 615. That's not much sleep folks.

Scrambled eggs with leeks and onion, OJ and Melon. Watched Elmo and learned about skin. You know skin.

Went off to Dad's group and learned some things....Brian is going to be a daddy and Ted is going to be a big brother! Josie had a tantrum(s) that prevented our zoo play date from happening. Brian is sending a box of fans to Goodwill and should have gotten another container from ABF. Eric is wondering why an 11 year old is finally learning how to ride a bike.....baby #2 will be here shortly. Dylan likes to run into things.

Ate at Monty's for the first time in two weeks. Dylan began saying nummy before we got to play group today. I couldn't bring myself to tell him no....so he ate, blueberries, banana, water, mac n cheese, and ice cream(our waitress brought it over and insisted that he have some) Ted had some mashed banana and a bottle.

Napping by 1230. Too busy this afternoon for more writing and I'll be finishing up some painting tonight. I should have an entry from tomorrow nights Mallards game.

Sophia's Birthday Party

Dylan attended his first birthday party on Sunday. Tricia and I had a blast! It's difficult to judge if Dylan had a good time becuase two year olds don't really play with each other but rather move around each other and occasionally make contact and fall down. He did have a great time playing with the balloons and balls. What's new? He enjoyed the Veggie Crisps, cheese, orange, banana, cake, and apple juice. (We finally have proof that Kumar keeps food at his house) Dylan ate his weight in the food provided due to the fabulous kid-friendly spread. He prefers a grazing approach to eating rather than the plates and silverware of a more grown-up method. (In this respect he's much older than two, everybody I know likes a good sunday afternoon finger food buffet.)

Here's a picture of Kumar, Sophia, and the blurred face of Jackson opening presents.
