Haircut, Shoes, and Climbing

We started out the morning by dropping off Mommy at work and walking down to the Downtown farmers Market. Dylan walked from the Francis street ramp to the Market without asking for a ride. (That's a record). We got some cheese curds from Farmer John, bought a cinnamon roll from Renaissance Farm, and a coffee. Dylan paid Catfish Stevenson and we ate our roll and listened to a few songs. Dylan got scared when Catfish started talking to him in a Daffy Duck voice so we had to leave.

We stopped and got Dylan a haircut (he looks older again), bought him some shoes (7.5), and watched Blake play football with Auntie Denita.

Next we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Steventon's house to assist with the cleaning. (NOT FUN!) Dylan and Mommy took a nap. (Mommy is still dealing with 24/7 morning sickness, she always thinks naps will help but they rarely do.) Dylan in the tree that all grandchildren have climbed at Grandpa and Grandma Steventon's house.

Dad's group entry

Well it's been a few days. We've been busy playing, learning, and recovering from Daddy's late night with Adam. Sorry to the daily readers who may or may not have been put-off by the lack of new material. Dylan has continued to be an eating and eliminating machine. Spouting new words like: yellow, read, chrysanthemum. I also caught him trying to sing the ABC's by himself, it goes something like this. A,B,D,E,EP, GO GO GO!! Then he ends up yelling GO for a few moments. I just about peed my pants.

Yesterday, we had lunch with Papa for his 58th birthday. Grandpa did a fantastic job of keeping his shirt and pants clean while eating. The same cannot be said about Dylan.

This morning we ate fried eggs and milk for breakfast. Mommy rode to work with Nanna today and Dylan is watching Sesame Street.

Dad's Group: Solved world peace, set the ground work for mass production of a adult diaper to prevent excess sweating due to high temp/high humidity weather, played with kids, kids played with each other, I stared blankly at the wall, made plans for a zoo trip and a going away party for Brian, Rohan and Shawnee. This 24/7 parenting stuff is hard!!

Skipped Monty's today. Dylan was/is really pissed at me and didn't stop yelling NO, NUMMY, NUMMY until we got home. Dylan had yogurt, cheese, PB&J sandwich and lemonade for lunch. Off to bed for a nap at 11:30. I hope he sleeps for a long time. He's been a crank pot today.

The most exciting activity of the afternoon was definitely Dylan's second haircut. He was very well behaved and looks cuter than ever.

Bought cat food and played with the kitten's at Noah's Ark. (We are having to change cat food because Turtle's gas has finally become a terrible issue. She will actually clear herself from a room!) We have gone with the regular food to keep Whisper from disappearing altogether but would have liked to go with the diet kind because turtle has turned into a porker. We're all hoping this new food limits the amount of nasty smells to Dylan's butt.

Picked up mommy, CSA, and went grocery shopping. Had dinner. Dylan ate a banana.

We played at the East Bluff toddler park and ran into Auntie Jen out for a walk with Dolby. We played there until Mommy was done with her accounting stuff. Attempted to fill the slide up with sand and fell off the monkey bars (no injuries just a healthy respect for the M.B. for a few moments.)

Headed back home where we continued to bury things in wood chips, had a granola bar/milk for a snack and got ready for bed.

Asleep in 45 minutes.
