After Dylan woke, we picked up Mommy from work and had a wonderful afternoon.
First we went to the Union and had a snack. Dylan found the stage and began to perform. He sang the ABC's, danced and jumped up and down the stairs.
I believe he is saying cheese.
On the Union Terrace. Where they have fashioned an over sized Union chair for photo opportunities. Isn't he adorable? It's relatively cool and breezy. The surprising hit of the afternoon...some sort of student organization contest, consisting of boats made from cardboard and wrapped in plastic. They were put in the water at one end of the terrace and proceeded to race (most took-on water quickly and were swamped) to the other end. We watched three heats of four. Each heat had one boat make it to the other side and win.
The winner of the first heat. It looks much like a canoe but after closer investigation it's a refrigerator box rapped in plastic sheeting held together with duct tape. I was/am amazed.
I believe this is right after Dylan met Bucky Badger! He gave him a high five and said "Touchdown". Dylan spoke of this event all weekend.
The winner of the second heat. This one had some competition but the closest competitor tipped over towards the finish line. (not quite a photo finish)
After the boat races, we went for a walk up Bascom Hill. Dylan walked almost the whole way. Lot's of walking for a little guy.

We headed to the Old Fashioned to meet Scott, Denita, and Blake for a fish fry. It was very good! I would recommend the perch but be prepared to consume a few beverages while you wait for a table. (It's a Friday night fish fry in Wisconsin. Need I say more?)
