Trains, Baby 2 chair.....
While Mommy headed off to spend a day of relaxation, we got back to work. We played trains and made a train story(you'll see it once I figure out how to post it) out of some of the pictures from yesterday. In between train construction and demolishion we glued the pieces to baby 2's rocking chair. Mental note: buckets are NOT good standing platforms for toddlers. Especially when they are teddering on a basement drain with standing water. Also, Dylan doesn't like to fall off the bucket onto the drain and water. Bruises and crying happen.
Whoooo, Whoooooo!!!!

No Nap - Trains and Chair for Baby 2
We took a walk to the Warner Park Community and Recreation Center (WPCRC) to attend the toddler playtime and it was awesome. 15-20 tricycles, trains, balls, basketball hoops, dinasaurs, you name it they have it. Dylan just ran and ran and ran.
We arrived home for lunch and I was counting on a long nap so I could clean the house and surprise him with a new train set-up when he woke. We had lunch, read a book and laid down for a nap.
I started my cleaning duties and then headed down to complete the new train set-up. It was about an hour when I hear, "Daddy, you playing trains?". To which I respond, "shouldn't you be in bed?" Then I hear crying and come to find out he's got a loaded diaper. So, we head up to change the diaper and put him back in bed, the whole while he has a very large lip and is sniffling. "I wanta play trains with you" he says after I finished his diaper change. So, I make a 2.5 year old promise, that if he doesn't take a nap and we play trains all afternoon that he has to be a good boy during dinner. We have plained to meet Tony, Angela and Oliver for a fish fry.
Of course, he says yes and screams "me playa trains with daddy"!
By the time 3pm rolls around I'm exhausted. I figure if he's going to stay up and not take a nap, I'm going to keep him totally engaged and make him really tired. It completely backfired! I succeeded in tiring myself out along with energizing Dylan with all the fun and entertaining games(I'm giving myself alot of credit).
Dinner turned out great and Dylan was very well behaved considering not having a nap.
I let Dylan use the camera while it was set-up on a tripod. This way, I figured he wouldn't break it.
