Running Errands and Eating Guests
Busy day. Too busy. So busy, in fact, I don't really remember what we did. Well, let's see....grocery delivery for Tina, drive to Mamajo's, have lunch with grandpa/grandma, drive mamajo to Dr Appt,(Dylan took a nap in the car while I read/stared into space and thought about my place in this thing called life) get Mommy, went home, got chinese take out, mamajo and papa ate dinner with us, and it's now 8pm and I feel like someone punched me in the nuts, sucked the contents of the brain out my ear with a toilet plunger, and keeps telling me to get up and fly right. What that hell does that mean? It means....amongst other things, keep on keeping on, put a good face on it, keep putting one foot in front of the other, make it look like you know what you're doing until you find your bed and plunge into sleep or pass out.
Playing our new favorite activity, Elmo puzzle.

Valentine's Day, Sweater, Lunch, and Morons?
Yep, all that happened in one day. Dylan got some more books. Twice I witnessed him reciting passages from books, The Missing Piece and Dogtails. It was so damned cute!! Hiddee Ho Here I go, I'm looking for my missin' piece.
Reading Peter Pan to himself after breakfast. He sat down and paged through all of them (8).
A brand new sweater that Nanna made for him. Isn't it cute?
Lois, Luka, Dylan and Lucy after lunch at Monty's.
The view from my office window. Yep, shorts, I can't believe it either.
Is it spring? Nope. See the snow. Been around for the last four months? Snowest winter since 78. Ring a bell? Energy crisis you say, must have ATC put in a new power line. Don't need it. Just make people wear clothing appropriate for the weather. (I never see them in the summer, but they're probably wearing sweatpants in the summer cuz they keep the house too cold.) Look at their electric bill! If you can wear shorts in your house when it's 15 degrees outside you are wasting energy. Exercising you say, I don't think so! You're looking at the exercise, walking out to the van to bring in the groceries. Oh, and these are the brain-children who get in shouting matches at 3am in the morning throughout the summer, most likely cuz that's when it's nice enough outside for sweat suits.

Dinner and Storytime
This afternoon/evening I decided to bake and cook dinner. Afternoon - used my new baking cookbook, made a pastry crust from scratch and a blackberry pie. (the recipe called for blueberries but we couldn't find any)
Dinner - Shrimp in a Court bouillon sauce, stewed okra with tomatoes and chickpeas, and rice. (supposed to be a risotto but I'm too lazy and couldn't juggle three pans at once and peel shrimp) Tony, Angela and Ollie came over to eat dinner with us and enjoy our tree for it's final night.
After dinner Tricia showed Dylan and Ollie a book.

Morning Shop, Oliver and Reading
Dylan started this morning by taking pictures of our house. He really loves the camera especially because the photographer, that was here yesterday, let him push buttons on his camera.

He captured our floor with his toe as the reference. What a smart kid!
Dylan and I shopped for Trudi this morning. Dylan was very happy during our delivery because Nanna gave him a sugar cookie. We caught Elmo at Trudi's house and Dylan played with Xavier and Keira while I was carrying the groceries into the house.
Oliver joined us around noon. Oliver played more than yesterday but still seems as though something is bothering him. That, and Dylan occasionally knockes him over or shares to enthusiastically.

Mommy read books while Daddy cooked dinner. Chicken in a white wine sauce, broccoli, and Marjoram rice...YUM. YUM.
Daddy was off to band practice. The concert's on December 7th at 7pm.
